The DPH System is a stand-alone gas humidification system that
is able to humidify supplied gasses. The stand alone DPH is the same patented humidifier we use in our industry leading FCTS product line. Arbin's DPH humidifier is the best performing humidifier technology available in the market today and outperforms bubbler, nafion, and steam injection technology in almost every relevant category.
The DPH while intended for use in the fuel cell field can be used in a wide range of applications that require high accuracy gas humidification.
We have many standard DPH systems available in a variety of configurations. Standard systems can be purchased with and without the chassis.

Major
Advantages of Arbin DPH
- Wide dynamic temperature and flow rate range - up to 95oC DPT and
6,000 slpm.
|
- High Accuracy - ±1oC Dew Point control accuracy from 30~95oC. Accuracy is not affected by pressure, flow rate and temperature.
|
- High Stability - DPT and gas supply temperature remain stable regardless of flowrate or pressure changes.
|
- Simple and compact structure - integral bubbler, boiler, condenser, water separator and chiller in compact unit.
|
- Energy efficient - no energy wasted for condenser or chiller.
|
- Fast Reponse Time - DPT response time of 1-5°C per min on temperature setpoint change.
|
- Simple Control - User only needs to define DPT and gas supply temperature set-points via control pannels or PC interface (optional)

Technology
Arbin Instruments' patented Dew Point Humidifier (US
Patent No. 6,715,743) combines several unit processes into one small, but powerful
device. It achieves precise dew point temperature control and
properly humidifies gas streams flowing into the fuel cell.
The diagram below shows the components that are integrated
inside a DPH
unit.

Energy efficiency of Arbin's DPH exceeds 98% in most applications.
Condensed water and heat released from condensation are recycled
for humidification and temperature control. Humidity and
temperature control utilize zoned-PID control for
continuous performance over a wide range of flow rates and
temperatures.
The dew
point temperature and gas temperature control accuracy is ± 1-2oC and the control range is from ambient plus 10oC
up to 95oC. Dew Point Temperature
of up to 140oC is
available upon request. The DPH achieves temperature transition times
>3oC per minute and
low overshoot (<20% of the temperature change) depending on conditions.
The DPH
accommodates a wide range of flow rates. The maximum
flow rate is 10-100 times more than a bubbler-type humidifier of
similar size. DPH turndown ratio is typically 100:1 for published specifications (although performance remains very good at turndowns of up to 1000:1 in most cases).
