Here is a highlight of our technological
innovations that set us ahead in the market:
Plug and play modularization
Systems are designed based on modularization
structure. Modules
are easily serviced, upgraded or replaced with minimal downtime.
System upgrade becomes very feasible.
Customers, themselves, can add more channels
(within power supply limits) and change current
ranges (within current limits) with minimum time
and little complexity.
Proprietary heat sink and mounting technology
(US Patent No. 6,304,449)
 |
Arbin heat sink offers ~40% better heat
dissipation efficiency compared to those in the market
today. It is easy to install/replace, and its small size
makes it lightweight and a space saver. The heat sink
enables linear circuitry for high power applications. It
is also the key feature that facilitates the plug and play modular structure. |
Multiple current and voltage ranges
Up to three current ranges and two voltage
ranges are available to increase test accuracy.
Channel paralleling to increase current output
Higher current output can be achieved by
paralleling several channels together. This capability
allows a system to be used for both low and high power in a
smaller structure than system without channel paralleling
option.
Pulse testing technology
Arbin
testing systems have the capability for
advanced pulse testing regimes including GSM, CDMA
and user-defined pulse testing profiles. The pulse
feature can be implemented in most Arbin testing
systems employing linear technology with much
improved specifications and custom pulse profiles.
Customers may define a pulse profile with
user-friendly software.
Safety protection technology with voltage clamp
Designed
first for lithium battery testing and formation
systems, where over and under charge/discharge is a
critical issue, Arbin continues to provide this
technology, with some modifications to other testing
systems as well. Voltage clamp provides group
control of voltage and is regulated by testing
software.
Proprietary material handling technology
From simple battery holder to advanced
handling of reactant streams for fuel cell testing, Arbin
provides innovative solutions to accommodate customer's testing procedures.
Standard as well as customized material handling design are
available.

(US Patent No. 6,863,268) dew point humidifier (DPH)
for fuel cell gas reactants humidification. |
Software structures and features
Arbin
testing software, the MITS Pro, is one of the most
flexible and sophisticated testing software
on the market. It is developed with an emphasis on
its user-friendly interface.
The software offers users the following unique
features and benefits:
 |
Flexible procedure control |
 |
Virtual mapping technology |
 |
Simulation technology |
 |
Easy test scheduling |
 |
Automatic charge/discharge rate setting |
 |
Reliability and user-friendliness |
Comprehensive technical support
Arbin
offers free two-day training at its headquarters
facility for new customer who has just purchased
Arbin's system. Phone and email support are
available for free as long as the system is in
operation. A support visit to customer's facility
can also be arranged. |
